Living in Louisville

Louisville is a suburban city between Boulder and Denver with an old-town flair. Locals pronounce the “s”, unlike the city in Kentucky. There are recreation spaces and parks scattered throughout the town as well as downtown where you can walk around and find lots of shopping and eateries.

Located near Lafayette and not far from Boulder, Louisville is a built-out suburb with few new developments. Louisville is so close to Lafayette that sometimes the two towns are referenced together as LoLa! Although close in proximity, each town is just separated enough to have its own identity.

The downtown area of Louisville was originally a mining town that was built around the turn of the century. There are still vacant mining tunnels to be found below the city.
